WARRANTY
TERMS AND CONDICTIONS
All
repairs are carried out in accordance with
our Terms & Conditions of Repair. All
repairs under warranty are subject to the
terms of that warranty and, in the event of
any conflict between these terms and the terms
of the warranty, the terms of the warranty
shall prevail.
1.
Definitions
The following terms and expressions shall,
unless the context requires otherwise, have
the meanings set out below:
The Manufacturers: SD-Omega
The Purchaser: The original purchaser of the
unit
The Service Centre: Any body/organisation
whom has been authorised to carry out work
on behalf of the manufacturer
Fault or any other variation of the word:
Any Manufacturing defects in materials and/or
workmanship under normal use
DOA: Dead on arrival shall mean faulty unit
from date of purchase

Warranty
SD-Omega warrants to the purchaser of the
unit for a period of 1 year from the date
of purchase, any unit confirmed as faulty or broken components
will be repaired or where applicable, replaced
at the manufacture’s costs; For OEM/ODM projects, buyers are responsible for testing and validating the functionality of hardware and testing the compatibility of hardware and software. The buyers are responsible for testing the samples in their working environment including testing in different temperature, humidity, vibration environment.
If the buyer does not propose any design, function and quality problems after they tested the sample, the manufacturer will seal up the sample and start the volume production . If after volume production, the buyer proposes that the product has functional defects or previously unpredictable defects, the factory does not need to carry out warranty. If the customer's project requires the factory to modify the BIOS, or to modify the frequency of CPU clock, the buyer is fully responsible for the testing and validation of the samples. Buyers shall be fully responsible for functional defects or other unpredictable defects found in volume production. If the volume products are the same quality as sealed samples, the factory does not provide warranty. The responsibility of the factory is to ensure that the products produced in volume are the same as the sealed samples, including circuit diagrams and components model number and quality.

Procedure
The purchaser must follow the warranty procedure
set out herewith.
In the unlikely event of a fault occurring
in the unit, the purchaser should:
- Make
note of the model/product number, serial
number, fault description and purchase
date
- Submit
a suspected fault through the RMA procedure
by email after which a technical engineer
will clarify the details.
- If a
system is deemed faulty by our technical
support team an RMA reference number will
be issued. Once issued the system should
be securely packaged to avoid transit
damage and issued RMA number written clearly
in the outside of the box with a copy
of the RMA form inside and return to us.
(You are responsible for the cost of returning
any product to us for repair. SD-Omega
pays freight for sending back to you.
- Once
received the base unit will be booked
in, repaired and be aimed to be returned
within 7 working days.
Please
note the following: -
Should any dispute arise with the purchase
date, a copy of the sales receipt will need
to be produced
SD-Omega reserves the right to replace any
unit with a similar model of the same or higher
specification without the purchaser’s consent
DOA
units should be reported within 7 working
days from the date of purchase
The manufacturer reserves the right not to
exchange/repair units with defects that fall
within the specification set by the manufacturer
of components. Such specifications can be
obtained on request.
Please
note that the warrantee is void is any of
the following occur: -
- Scratched/broken
casing, cracked PCB’s, abused housing
and any failure damages due to customers
mishandling, improper maintenance or use
against the operating instructions and
any damage dues to misuse, abuse or negligence
- If any
alteration/modification has been made
to the unit and/or has been serviced by
a person not authorised by the manufacturer.
- To loss
of quality, degradation of performance
or actual damage that results from the
use of spare parts or other replaceable
items (such as consumables) that are either
made or recommended by SD-Omega.
- To loos
of quality, degradation of performance
or damage that results from the installation
of, damage to, to modification to the
product and/or software by someone else
other than our representatives or because
of damage that result from changes required
by you or a Third Party.
- To damage
that results from your connection of other
fitting or accessories to the Product
which we have not approved or your connection
of other equipment or software not approved
by us.
- If any
serial number, supplier plate or seal
is removed or defaced
- Where
SD-Omega finds no fault on units returned
for service, the manufacturer may, at
its discretion, charge the customer a
handling fee to cover transport and investigation.
SD-Omega
gives this limited warrantee. This limited
warrantee is only effective upon registration
of the unit within 7 days of purchase.
The manufacturer warrants this product is
free against any and all manufacturing defects
in material and workmanship under normal
used, and is limited to repair adjustment
and / or replacement free of charge (excluding
shipping)
The
manufacturer does NOT warrant that the product
will meet the purchaser’s requirements in
that the operation of the unit will be uninterrupted
or error free, or that all errors will be
corrected. The manufacture is not responsible
for problems caused by changes in the operating
characteristics the unit and/or of a computer
and/or its operating system brought forth
after the release of this product, nor for
problems created with the interaction of other
peripheral devices attached to the unit and/or
a computer and/or its operating systems nor
for problems created by any other software.
The
manufacture will NOT be responsible for any
direct, indirect, special, consequential or
incidental lost of profits or savings arising
out of use or inability to use the unit. In
no case shall the manufacture’s liability
exceed the purchase value of the unit. This
restriction of liability does not affect the
purchaser’s statutory rights as a consumer
or his rights with a distributor/dealer.
